The Alere™ hCG Combo tests are CLIA Waived for Urine or CLIA Moderately Complex for Serum.
Materials Included
The Alere™ hCG Combo Cassette (20/10) test kits contain the following:
40 Test Cassettes with Pipettes, individually packaged.
Do not open until ready to perform test.
Also required: patient urine / serum sample, timer
Remove test from pouch
Tear pouch along notch to open and remove Test Cassette and Pipette.
Prepare sample
Open or uncover the patient urine / serum sample.
Collect patient sample
Squeeze and release the Pipette to collect patient sample.
Transfer 3 drops of Urine or Serum
Expel 3 drops of urine or serum to sample well of Test Device, as shown.
Set timer and read the result at 3-4 minutes when testing a urine specimen, or at
5-6 minutes when testing a serum specimen. Do not interpret results after the appropriate read time.

Interpretation - Negative or Positive
Pick up Test Cassette or leave it flat to interpret results - One line is negative, two is positive.
Set timer and read the result at 3-4 minutes when testing a urine specimen, or at
5-6 minutes when testing a serum specimen. Do not interpret results after the appropriate read time.
